Pansy Patch Step-by-Step

Thank You Card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) (10.8 x 14 cm)

CASUAL

As one of the sentiments in the Pansy Patch Stamp Set says, “The little things you do make a big difference.” That can be true in life—and when sitting down to create a fabulous card for someone special. All the little details and love put into making your card can add up to one big hug that will make someone’s day!

To begin creating our lovely Besten Dank Pansy Patch step-ups, start simple. Fold Polished Pink Cardstock in half; add a layer of stamped Basic White Cardstock to the card front, then layer with just a few die-cut images. Notice that our artist used a Blending Brush to add subtle shading to the die-cut pansy bud. Easy to do. Fast. Fun!

AVID

We stepped up our Thank You card with tone-on-tone stamping and pops of gold for extra pizzazz. We also used a Bone Folder to curl the flower petals and give them extra dimension.

ARTFULLY AVID

To create our Mille mercis card, apply Granny Apple Green ink to the Basic White Cardstock layer using a Blending Brush, then run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Also, did you notice the pretty Baker’s Twine? We colored it with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to make it really stand out!

Hope Your Day is Just Right

My Dad has a little greenhouse and this Garden Greenhouse so reminded me of him. Although I think he grows mostly vegetables in his, I just had to get this Bundle and make some pretty cards. Using the Stamping-Off technique, you can create the illusion of flowers in the background – as if they were in the back of the greenhouse – and then brighter flowers look closer up.

A Friendship Nurtured in Love Blooms Forever

The Meadow Moments embossing folder sets the perfect stage with a background of leaves, flowers and butterflies followed by a burst of color with green branches, yellow flowers and perfectly contrasting costal cabana sentiment flag tag. So pretty!

Measurements

Full list of supplies needed, listed below. A die cutting machine is needed for this card.

Basic White Thick Cardstock:

  • 7” h x 8 ½” w folded to 3 ½”” h for Card Base

Basic White Cardstock:

  • 3” h x 8” w

Coastal Cabana Cardstock:

  • 1 ⅝” h x 3 ½” w

Scraps

  • Garden Green Cardstock
  • Pear Pizzaz Cardstock
  • Cardstock Vellum
  • Crushed Curry Cardstock
  • Daffodil Delight Cardstock

Let’s Create

  1. Affix all stamps to Acrylic Blocks.
  2. Fold the Basic White Thick Card Base in half using a Bone Folder to sharpen the crease.
  3. Run the Basic White Cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Meadow Moments Embossing folder. It will take two passes – once from each end- until you have it covered. I ran it through one side, then lined the embossing folder up from the other side to where the first pass ended and ran it again.
  4. Run the various colored scrap cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine several times with the Greenhouse Dies to create branches and flowers. I also used the Sprig Punch.
  5. Stamp the Sentiment in Versamark Ink on the Coastal Cabana Cardstock layer, sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and heat emboss with your heat tool. Use the Tailored Tag Punch to flag the end.
  6. Wrap Crinkle Seam ribbon around several times around the Sentiment and tie a bow.
  7. Attach Sentiment with Stampin Dimensionals, but leave plenty of room on the left side to tuck in your branches.
  8. Arrange the branches behind the tag punch and attach with Mini Glue Dot. Once you have the first layer sticking out behind the tag, you can add additional layers further left, behind the first layer.
  9. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the flowers.
  10. Add white Classic Matte Dots to the center of the flowers.
  11. Stamp and decorate the inside.
  12. Decorate your Slimline envelope.
  13. So pretty! Which of your dearest friends will you send it to?
