Season’s Greetings

This project is part of the monthly Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop. We created with a sketch from the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog this month and I am sure you will find some great cards. Thanks for joining us. You will find links at the bottom to take you to the other projects in this series.

Crumb Cake Cardstock: 5 1/2″ h x 8 1/2″ w folded to 5 1/2″ h x 4 1/4″ w
Basic White Cardstock:
• 5 1/4″ h x 4″ w (for inside)
• 3 1/4″ h x 4 1/4″ w
• 2″ h x 1″ w (3)
• 1″ h x 2 1/2″ w
Real Red Cardstock: 1/2″ h x 4 1/4″ w
A Little Bit Festive 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper (SDSP): 2 3/4″ h x 4 1/4″ w


Let’s Create

  1. Affix all stamps to Acrylic Blocks.
  2. Fold the Card Base in half using a Bone Folder to sharpen the crease.
  3. Use Stampin’ Seal to attach the Real Red strip to the bottom of the SDSP.
  4. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach the 3 Basic White rectangles to the SDSP, spaced evenly across.
  5. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach three gingerbread die cuts from the SDSP pack to the 3 Basic White Rectangles.
  6. Use Tear N’ Tape to attach a piece of Natural 3/8″ Polka Dot Trim over the Real Red strip.
  7. Use Stampin’ Seal to attach the 3 1/4″ h x 4 1/4″ w Basic White.
  8. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the SDSP panel.
  9. Stamp the sentiment on the 1″ h x 2 1/2″ w Basic White Rectange and attach with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Sprinkle on the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  11. Stamp and decorate the remaining Basic White panel for the inside and attach with Stampin’ Seal.
  12. Decorate your envelope.
  13. So cute! Now send it to someone special.

Fall Fancy Fold

Stamp a beautiful focal image in your favorite colors to frame your sentiment with this quick and easy fun fold card.

Measurements

Full list of supplies needed, listed below.
Card base – Copper Clay

                      5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 3 ¼” and 7 ½”

Old Olive  – 2 1/8” x 2 5/8”

Very Vanilla – 4” x 5 ¼”

                        2” x 2 ½”

                        1 ½” x 3 ¼”

Tartan Foil Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 3” x 5 ¼”  Copper Clay

                            ¾” x 5 ¼”

Let’s Create

  1. Affix all stamps to Acrylic Blocks.
  2. Fold the Card Base in half using a Bone Folder to sharpen the crease.
  3. Add the DSP to the card front on each side.
  4. Take the 1 ½” x 3 ¼” piece of Very Vanilla and flag each end by cutting up the center then cutting from the side to the center and repeating on the other side to form a banner end.  Repeat on the procedure on the other end.  This gives you a banner on each end. 
  5. Add the banner to the left flap of the card front making sure not to add glue to the side that overlaps the right flap or you will glue your card shut.
  6. Using your Old Olive marker, ink up just the word “smile” on the sentiment stamp.  Stamp it in the center of the small Very Vanilla panel. 
  7. Using Copper Clay, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie ink randomly stamp the leaves all over the panel.
  8. Add the panel to the Old Olive panel.
  9. Add a strip of Tear & Tape to the back of the panel.  Remove the backing and add a length of Linen Thread twisting it back and forth so it shows on each end.  Add another strip of Tear & Tape over the first one to sandwich the linen thread in place. 
  10. Add dimensionals to the center back of the panel.  Use some of the dimensionals to secure the linen thread in place if needed. 
  11. Add the panel to the banner on the card front making sure to center on all sides.
  12. Sprinkle on the gems.
  13. Stamp and decorate the inside and attach with Stampin’ Seal.
  14. Decorate your envelope.
  15. So cute! Now send it to someone special.

Measurements

Full list of supplies needed, listed below. A die cutting machine is needed for this card.
Card base – Gorgeous Grape

                    4 ¼” x 5 ½”

Gorgeous Grape  – 3 ¼” x 8 ¼” scored on long side at 4 1/8”

                               Scrap for die cutting

White – 3” x 4” – two

              Scrap for stamping and die cutting

Splendid Autumn dsp – 4” x 5 ½” Sunset with purple sky pattern

                                      ½” x 2 ¾” 7 strips of various patterns

Let’s Create

  1. Affix all stamps to Acrylic Blocks.
  2. Fold the Card Base in half using a Bone Folder to sharpen the crease.
  3. Attach the panel of Splendid Autumn dsp to the large Gorgeous Grape panel.
  4. Arrange your ½” strips in a pattern you like.  Beginning in the middle of the White panel, add your center strip with the left side close to the left side of the White panel. 
  5. Add the other strips above and below staggering the ends on each side to give a zigzag pattern on the sides. 
  6. Fold and burnish the Gorgeous Grape strip.  Add the White panel
  7. Add the mini card you created in Step 5 to the Gorgeous Grape panel you created in Step 2 centering on all sides. 
  8. Attach the other white rectangle to the inside of the mini card.
  9. Stamp your sentiment on the scrap of White using Gorgeous Grape ink.  
  10. Use the circle Stylish Shapes dies to die cut out the sentiment.  Use the next largest circle to die cut a circle from Gorgeous Grape scrap.  Layer the 2 circles together. 
  11. Add dimensionals to the back of the circle and then add it to the lower  right hand side of the mini card front 
  12. Stamp and decorate the remaining white panel and attach to the inside.
  13. Decorate your envelope.
  14. Ta Da! Done! Who will you send it to?
