Frames & Flowers – Tina Newberry Designs

As Bruno Bertucci says, “Love it. Chop it!” and for this card, we’re also going to show it off. We’re talking Designer Series Paper, of course! Create a checkerboard background for your card with this simple design using the Frames & Flowers Specialty Pack.

The Frames & Flowers Specialty 12″ x 12″ Paper is unlike other patterned paper packs. It has three sheets of double-sided designs with floral and greenery designs on one side and all-purpose patterns on the other. And it also has three sheets of die-cut greenery elements that you can use on card fronts or to frame photos on scrapbook pages. As a fun plus, some of the die-cuts are sized to fit card fronts, making it easy to create quick, beautiful cards. This paper is a must for card makers and scrapbookers!

Basic White Thick Cardstock: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼

Pretty Peacock Cardstock: 4” x 5 ¼”

Frames & Flower Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP): 3 ¾” w x 5” h herringbone pattern

Let’s Create

Affix all stamps to Acrylic Blocks.
Fold the Card Base in half using a Bone Folder to sharpen the crease.
Reference the cutting diagram to see how to cut the DSP layer. :
- Measure along the short side of the DSP to 1 1/4″ and cut a strip. Repeat so you have 3 strips. MAKE SURE TO KEEP THE STRIPS IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE PATTERN.
- Measure along the long side of one DSP strip to 1 5/8”. Repeat to cut the entire strip. AGAIN MAKE SURE TO KEEP THE STRIPS IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE PATTERN. Repeat with the other two strips making sure to maintain the pattern.
Arrange all of the DSP tiles onto the Pretty Peacock Cardstock panel, leaving a slight border along the outside of the Pretty Peacock panel and between the DSP tiles.
Once you have them arranged, begin adhering the four corner tiles with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Adjust the alignment of each tile before you press in place.
Repeat with the center tile and then the four middle tiles, re-aligning each tile before pressing ito place.
Attach the Pretty Peacock panel with Stampin’ Seal to the card base.
Choose one of the swag punch outs from the Frames & Flowers specialty paper pack and add it to the top third using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Sprinkle on some Petal Pink foiled gems.
Decorate your envelope.
