CASUAL
Embossing Folders give you a fast way to add texture and depth to cardstock, and the process is so easy! Simply enclose your paper inside the folder and run it through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Embossing is relatively inexpensive and adds an extra element of tactile interest to your cards for extra enjoyment!

This Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder has a hybrid design that combines two steps into one, and we think you’re going to love it. The coordinating dies fit inside the embossing folder so it can cut and emboss at the same time! Ta da! See them in action here!

To create our casual Art in Bloom Card, emboss a piece of Pool Party Cardstock using the Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder—this time without the dies. Let the embossed cardstock be the centerpiece of this easy-to-make card. Add the label, some die-cut flowers, and a Baker’s Twine bow and you have a card that you can duplicate in multiple colors. Simply switch up the sentiment and use it for almost any occasion!

AVID
We stepped up our second card by adding two-step stamping and die-cutting using both the Hybrid Embossing Folder and the Bloom Dies in the Bloom Hydrib Embossing Folder & Die Bundle. Such a timesaver and the technique is so clean and easy.

The Magenta Madness and Granny Apple Green inks really pop against the Pool Party Cardstock , don’t you think? A light dusting of Genial Gems completes this card and adds just the right amount of bling.

ARTFULLY AVID
Our final card features the emboss resist technique for a painterly look that appears difficult but is in fact quite simple to achieve. Stamp the image in VersaMark ink, add White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and heat emboss. Then, using a Blending Brush or Sponge Dauber, apply ink to your image, varying the pressure as you go to create variations in color depth. That’s it! We also added a sunshine-y floral center using Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, then finished with ethereal-looking vellum leaves. Gorgeous!

Gather Together

Ooh my favorite cards are white-on-white and this one is no exception. The simple elegance and sweet sentiment of it make my heart happy and get me in the mood for fall!

Full list of supplies needed, listed below. A die cutting machine is needed for this card.

Card Base: Basic White Thick Cardstock 8 ½” h x 5 ½” w, scored on the long side at at 4 ¼”
Background: Basic White Cardstock 5 1/4″ h x 4″ w
Leaves: Basic White Cardstock scrap
Inside Layer (Optional): Basic White Cardstock 4″ h x 5 1/4″ w

Let’s Create

Affix all stamps to Acrylic Blocks.
Fold the Card Base in half using a Bone Folder to sharpen the crease.
Stamp leaves on a piece of Basic White scrap paper in Bumble bee, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider. I did a “second generation” image for most of the leaves. This is also known as “stamping off.” I inked up the leaf, stamped it off to the side, then stamped it again. This second-generation image is the one I used for the card. Repeat for each color leaf and select the darkness of ink that you prefer for each leaf.
Die-cut each leaf.
Use Stampin Dimensionals to attach leaves. I started by placing the center leaf exactly in the middle (on the top third of the Basic White layer). Then I added the far left leaf, and the far right leaf, each one near to the edge. Then I placed the leaves in positions 2 and 4.
Stamp your Sentiment along the bottom in Cinnamon Cider.
Adhere this layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Create five tiny little Basic White bows and adhere to each leaf with a Mini-Glue Dot.
Stamp the Inside Layer to your liking and attach with adhesive of your choice.
Decorate your envelope.
Simple and elegant!!!! Put it in the mail to make someone’s day!

CASEing means Copy and Share Everything, but it also means “sanity saver” on days when you desperately want to create something handmade but don’t have the time (or the energy) to brainstorm.

If you’re having a papercrafting emergency, this is our tried-and-true method for achieving immediate relief. Look through the catalog, find a project you love, then . . .

Copy the layout.
Copy the color scheme.
Copy the technique.

Whatever you do, copy SOMETHING and you will be well on your way to making a project that you can proudly share.

We CASEd the pretty layout for the Bamboo card and added fussy-cut bamboo stems for an eye-catching focal point. Simple, yet lovely using the Bamboo Beauty Stamp Set.

To create the Danke card, we borrowed the Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, and Polished Pink color combo. (Pro tip: Always keep a list of favorite color combos on hand—in CASE of emergency.) Additional tip: Stamp the flower in Polished Pink ink, then use a light Stampin’ Blend of the same color to add dimension to the flower petals, leaving the edges white.

For the Coucou bonheur card, our concept artist CASEd a terrific technique: She inked up the Brilliant Wings Dies with light and dark Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to fashion richly hued butterfly wings. Gorgeous!

Really I’ve Been This Cute All Nine Lives

I’ve had many cats over the years and most have been quite entertaining. Each with their own personality. The big fat cat in the box in this stamp set made me chuckle and reminded me of Fletcher, a stray feral kitten we adopted about 8 years ago. He continues to be a bit wild living the dream on an inlet at our dear friends’ the Lynn’s, and for sure will be the first to try to fit in a box half his size. Bwahahah!

Let’s Create

Affix all stamps to Acrylic Blocks.
Fold the Card Base in half using a Bone Folder to sharpen the crease.
Attach the Harvest Meadow Background using Stampin’ Seal.
Attach the In The Wilde Decorative Rectangle to the Soft Suede Decorative Rectangle Matte and attach to the card with Stampin’ Seal.
Stamp
1. the Cat in Bumblebee Ink on Basic White Cardstock scrap
2. the Box in Soft Suede ink on Kraft Paper
3. the Sentiment in Soft Suede ink on Basic White Cardstock scrap
Fussy Cut with Paper Snips
1. the Bumblebee Cat
2. the Kraft Paper Box
Punch with the Tailored Tag Punch
1. the Sentiment
2. the Sentiment Matte and then use Paper Snips to cut in half length-wise
Use Stampin’ Seal to attach the Kraft Paper Box to the Bumbleebee Cat and then attach to the Basic White Decorative Circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use Stampin’ Seal to attach the Sentiment Matte to the back of the Sentiment and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach.
Sprinkle with 2020-2022 In-Color Gems in Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee
Stamp the Inside Layer to your liking and attach with adhesive of your choice.
Decorate your envelope.
So cute! Put it in the mail!
